At this moment, I am in my 12th week straight of working from home. Before COVID-19, I was working from home fairly regularly but never to this extent. There were some ups and downs, but I feel like I really hit my stride and now I'd be happy to work from home forever

A key lesson that I've learned in the past 2 years in my career is the importance of viewing yourself as a company, specifically a company with a brand that you need to promote and sell. This is where your "personal brand" comes in. A personal brand is basically a summary of who you are and who you aim to…
Listen up! You need to use your PTO. I know what you're thinking, "But Kristin, blah blah blah I can't." You're wrong. If your employer provides you with PTO days, you should use them ESPECIALLY if they don't carry over or get paid out to you.
It's no secret that moods are constantly fluctuating during this pandemic. I'm already an emotional person, but I have not had this severe emotional swings for a very long time. It's hard to know how I'm going to feel from one day to the next, and sometimes one hour to the next.

When I graduated from college, I went through multiple interview processes, desperately seeking any type of accounting job that I could get. I was under a mountain of pressure from my parents (and myself), had no…
I attended my first networking event and panel yesterday, and it did not go as well as I'd hoped (in terms of actual networking). Starting cold conversations has never been my strong suit, and it became apparent the second that I stepped into the event space. I did learn a lot from my mistakes. Without further ado, here are my…
